Mold material has a direct influence on cooling efficiency, machining accuracy, corrosion resistance, service life and maintenance cost. For 20–60L jerry can and container production, we provide several material options so customers can select a mold configuration that matches both production demand and investment budget.
S50C is an economical choice for projects that focus on initial cost control. P20 is widely used in blow molding molds and offers a practical balance between strength, machinability and price. 2316 stainless steel provides improved corrosion resistance and is suitable for customers who require cleaner and more stable long-term operation. S136H offers higher durability for demanding production conditions. For customers who prioritize cooling performance and shorter cycle time, 7075 aluminum is a strong option because of its good thermal conductivity. Beryllium copper inserts can also be used in handle, neck, bottom or other heat-concentrated areas.
The most expensive material is not always the most suitable one. The correct choice depends on container size, resin, target cycle time, annual output, cooling conditions and expected mold life. By matching material selection to the real production requirement, customers can achieve a better balance between mold investment, productivity, durability and long-term operating cost for 20–60L HDPE container production.
