Cooling performance is one of the most important factors in 20–60L extrusion blow molding because larger containers retain more heat and normally require longer cooling than small bottles. A well-designed mold should not only form the product shape correctly, but also remove heat efficiently and evenly during every production cycle.
Our custom blow molding molds are designed with cooling channel layout based on product geometry, wall thickness, handle structure, bottom area and other heat-concentrated sections. Balanced cooling helps reduce deformation, improve dimensional stability and support more consistent container quality during continuous production. For projects requiring higher cooling efficiency, 7075 aluminum can be selected because of its strong thermal conductivity. Beryllium copper inserts may also be added in specific areas where faster heat transfer is needed.
Cooling design must also match the customer’s machine, water supply, target cycle time and production output. An aggressive cooling design that does not match the factory conditions may not deliver the expected result, so we evaluate the complete production environment before finalizing the mold structure.
