For extrusion blow molding production, cooling efficiency has a direct influence on cycle time, product shape stability and overall production output. Our 5–20L custom blow molding molds are designed with cooling performance as an important part of the mold structure, especially for larger HDPE products such as jerry cans, chemical containers, lubricant oil cans and storage drums.
Cooling channels can be arranged according to the product shape and areas where heat is concentrated, helping improve temperature balance during continuous production. For higher-output applications, 7075 aluminum is often considered because of its good thermal conductivity. Beryllium copper inserts can also be applied in selected positions such as handles, neck areas or complex product sections where faster heat transfer may be required.
Proper cooling can help reduce deformation, improve dimensional stability and support more consistent production from cycle to cycle. Mold design is therefore not only about reproducing the shape of the bottle. It should also match the machine, extrusion condition, product weight, wall thickness distribution and target cycle time.
Before manufacturing, we review the customer’s product sample or drawing and evaluate the production requirements. This helps us develop a mold solution focused on practical production efficiency, stable output and reliable container quality during long-term manufacturing.
